Introduction to the tool and how to use it

Standard Deviation Calculator measures the spread of each data set.

Steps:
1. Paste your data, one set per line; numbers inside a line can be separated by commas, spaces or any other character;
2. Choose the formula: sample standard deviation (divide by n-1, for sampled data) or population standard deviation (divide by n, for the whole data set);
3. Set the decimal places and click Calculate. The right panel shows the standard deviation of each set, and the table below lists count, sum, average, standard deviation, minimum, maximum and range.
Tip: with a single value a sample standard deviation is undefined and shown as NaN.
