1. Overview

This policy explains what information ToolBatch (toolbatch.com, “this site”) collects, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. Please read it carefully before using the site.

2. Tool data processing: local to your browser

Every tool on this site — numbers, math, text, conversion, generation, image, PDF and developer tools — runs on browser-side JavaScript and does not rely on server-side computation:

• Content you enter, paste, select or upload exists only in your own device and browser memory;
• We do not collect, transmit or store it, and we cannot view it;
• Closing or refreshing the page clears it from the browser.

3. Information we collect

• Account information (registered users only): the email address and password required at sign-up. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes; we never see the plaintext.
• Usage statistics: which tool was visited, the date, IP address and approximate location, operating system type, and visit counts, used for aggregate traffic reports. These records contain none of the content you enter into tools.
• Cookies and local storage: language preference and login token (see section 4).
• Third-party analytics: we use Google Analytics to measure overall traffic (and Baidu Analytics, if enabled, for the same purpose). Third parties process anonymous data under their own privacy policies.

4. Cookies

• lang: remembers your language choice, valid for 1 year;
• _token: keeps you signed in, valid only while logged in.

You can clear or disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so only loses your language preference and login state; every tool keeps working.

5. How we use information

• Operate, maintain and improve the site;
• Produce aggregate traffic statistics (to understand tool usage trends, not to identify individuals);
• Protect account and site security (anti-abuse, anti-attack);
• Send essential service notifications related to your account (e.g. email verification codes, security alerts).

6. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only in these situations:

• With your explicit prior consent;
• Anonymous aggregate data shared with the analytics providers named above;
• Where required by law or by a court or authority acting under due legal process;
• Where necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of this site, its users or the public.

7. Data retention

Usage statistics are kept in aggregate form for trend analysis. Account information is kept while your account exists. After you delete your account or request deletion, we remove the relevant data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

8. Data security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS, passwords are stored as hashes, and administrative systems are access-controlled. That said, no transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed absolutely secure.

9. Your rights

You may access, correct or delete your account information, and may close your account at any time. Contact us using the details listed in the site footer and we will respond within a reasonable period.

10. Children's privacy

This site is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly after verification.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates are published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date; material changes will be highlighted. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the updated policy.
