Introduction to the tool and how to use it

An online 3D function plotter: type one two-variable function z=f(x,y) per line and get a colour-shaded 3D surface drawn with isometric projection, together with sampling statistics and a sample point table.

Input format: one expression in x and y per line, for example x^2 + y^2, sin(sqrt(x^2+y^2)) or x*y. Operators + - * / ^, parentheses and unary minus are supported; functions include sin / cos / tan / asin / acos / atan / sqrt / abs / exp / ln / log / log2 / floor / ceil / round / sign / min / max / pow / atan2 / hypot / sinh / cosh / tanh, and the constants pi and e work too.

Key parameters: xMin / xMax / yMin / yMax define the sampling range, resolution sets the mesh density (faces = resolution × resolution), azimuth and elevation control the viewpoint, and colorMode selects z-value colouring, contour bands or a solid colour.

One caveat: implicit multiplication is not supported, so write 2*x instead of 2x - such lines get a clear message and are skipped. Non-finite values from sqrt(-1) or 1/0 skip the affected faces instead of drawing a broken surface, and the count is reported in the statistics.
